 The OIE Science and New Technologies Department is seeking a highly motivated intern to support the organisation and technical development of the upcoming Second OIE Global Conference on Antimicrobial Resistance and Prudent Use of Antimicrobial Agents in Animals, “Putting Standards into Practice”. The conference will be held in Marrakesh, Morocco from 29-31 October 2018. The intern is requested to begin his/her duties as soon as possible, and the internship would be completed following the conference (around 6 months).

Missions and activities
Responsibilities will include: • Supporting the finalisation of the scientific content of the conference programme; • Contact speakers and follow up for the timely delivery of abstracts, biographies and PowerPoints; • Collection and triage of abstract submissions to support selection of poster presentations by the Scientific Committee; • Development and revision of technical content of the conference abstract book; • Managing deadlines associated with conference organisation, and coordinating with the Events Coordination Unit and Publication Unit; • On-site support during the days of the conference for logistics concerning oral and poster presentations; • Assist with other parts of the OIE’s ongoing AMR work programme as necessary.
Qualifications and Experience Qualifications: Candidates should demonstrate a strong technical background in animal health and antimicrobial resistance. Note: Candidates who have completed a Veterinary Degree and/or relevant Masters programme (animal science, public health) will be preferred. This is an excellent opportunity for post-graduate students looking for high-level experience and exposure to veterinary public health and intergovernmental organisations.
